Ninna-ji

Since its establishment in 888, Ninna-ji prospered greatly due to royalty serving their priesthood in this temple. Registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, you will find Omuro cherry trees that were planted in the Edo period (1603-1868). These cherry blossom trees are lower in height compared to an average cherry blossom tree.
