Nara National Museum

Nara National Museum is located in Nara Park, neighboring Tōdaiji Temple, Kōfukuji Temple, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine.

Nara National Museum specializes in Buddhist art. The Buddhist Sculpture Hall displays statues in its permanent collection, among them National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties. At any given time, one can view nearly a hundred Buddhist statues. In the new buildings, such shows as the renowned annual Shōsōin Exhibition rotate with the seasons.

・東大寺二月堂修二会(お水取り)における期間(3/1~3/14のうち、金・土曜日は20時まで、その他の日は18時まで)
