Nara Palace Site Museum

See the research results of the Nara Institute of Cultural Properties

The Nara National Research Institute is a world-famous national research institute that has been excavating Heijo Palace and Kyo since 1959. In the museum, visitors can see excavated pottery, roof tiles, wooden tables, and full-scale diorama of ancient Nara era government offices and palace parts restored by the institute.
